There's a great deal of discussion about the "re-opening" of the IPO market window and the backlog of IPOs. What exactly does the IPO market hold for venture-backed companies in 2010? That's what a panel of experts will debate in a discussion led by Wall Street veteran Thom Weisel. Join us for this WAVC event held at the Rosewood Sand Hill Hotel on Thursday, March 4th at noon.

Our panelists include:
  • Jeff Jordan: CEO of Open Table, which had one of the most successful IPOs of 2009
  • Kevin Genieser, Managing Director of Morgan Stanley, the lead banker in such 2009 IPOs as A123 Systems and Fortinet
  • Larry Solomon, Equity Investment Analyst, Capital Research Group, where he covers the software industry
  • (Moderator) Thom Weisel, CEO, Thomas Weisel Partners, a leading participant in capital markets for emerging growth companies for decades

Our panel will explore topics like:
  • Which sectors will be most favored by Wall Street?
  • Which business models do investors prefer—and what are they avoiding?
  • What are the key criteria for a successful IPO in 2010?
  • Will dual track mandates continue to be popular?
